Hear the voices of Californians.

One way for us to deepen our understanding of Californians who are working but struggling economically was by listening to their stories during in-depth interviews. These 60- to 90-minute interviews provided deep insight into interconnected challenges that each individual faces in their lives. We seek to amplify their voices and add context to some of the themes that arose by sharing excerpts from six of these interviews.
